La Victoria is a 4,800-hectare property we have managed since 2018 in the Department of Paysandú, north-western Uruguay.
🇺🇾Until recently, La Victoria was leased by an independent beef producer who managed it well below its potential. At the end of last year, we took over the operation of La Victoria to build a best-in-class cattle breeding operation to supply calves to our other farms, thus mitigating our sourcing risk and increasing the resilience of our grass-fed beef business. 🐮
This week, we had the pleasure of hosting our advisor Pablo Etcheverry from Pensagro to help our team design the adaptive multi-paddock grazing system we are implementing there. We also took the opportunity to evaluate and refine the regenerative practices we have been deploying across our portfolio to improve soil health, forage production, water retention, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration. 🌱
